Morning Session:

Conferences

Lecture 1 by Prof. Struzak
Radio Communication Channel and Digital Modulation.

The lecture covered the basics of modulation and demodulation in Digital systems (PSK, FSK, ASK, DPSK, QPSK, GMSK). An introduction to Spread Spectrum (SS) techniques such as TDMA, FHSS,DSSS and OFDM also followed.

Lecture 2 by R. Flickenger from Metrix, USA
Use of ISM bands.
In this lecture the most common used standards for wireless digital communications are reviewed (802.11 b/g, Bluetooth) from the perspective of coexistence. Noise sources. Tools to evaluate spectrum congestion, polution (Wi Spy) and Monitoring Tools ( Kismet).

Afternoon

We continued with yesterday practices.

How many times and how long should you do it?
We're talking about exercise 5.

Really not good way around to use the new spectrum analyzer. The tracking generator is essential to ease the process. So we recommend to stick to experiment 6 if possible.

Evening

Revolution OS was screened while others worked on their Lab Experiment Reports
