[edit] MAC, Routing, Synchronization Issues (by Prof. Bhaskaran Raman)
This was the first lecture of the day , given by Prof.Bhaskaran Raman. He stared the session by talking about the MAC protocols such as S-MAC and B-MAC.He also discussed the routing protocols and the routing approaches (Data Centric and Hierarchical). After the break ,Prof Raman continued the session by discussing the transport protocols (PSFQ Push Slowly First Quickly). The last part of the session was about the time synchronization (FTSP). In the second lecture Prof Raman talked about
- Sensor networks measurements .
- Implication of link range and the stability on sensor networks architecture .
The design of the protocols was discussing in the last lecture and we have learn t that protocol design depends on the application which we need.
[edit] LAB: TinyOS Exercise-2: Time synchronization (by Prof. Bhaskaran Raman)
After the lunch break , we contiued the exercise given by Prof Raman. It was an interesting exercise .We used the TINYOS,MOTE, and nesC(similar to c++) language for the exercises.
