[edit] Site Survey and Antenna Mounting Considerations (by Prof. E. Pietrosemoli)
This wednesday, the sun is shining since the early morning. At 9h we start the morning sessions with Prof Ermano Pietrosemoli with the topic Site Survey and Antenna Mounting Considerations .
He gives first an overview of the site survey and the tools required for this purpose. Once this task finished it is crucial to determine where to put the access point. This is essentiel before mounting wireless link coverage. He continues the lecture exposing different ways to mount antennas. Many factors and means have to be considered to perform this activity successfully. This can be risky, we have be notified that R.Flickenger fall down while doing a similar operation. At the end the lecturer insists on the fact that to determine the line of sight we don't have to forget to consider the Fresnel zone.
This first lecture terminates at 10h and we undertake a coffee break for 20 minutes.
