Notes:
- Most of the SGs have produced one or several handbooks. Recognising their value for developing countries, the R sector makes a point of keeping the D sector informed of the status of the handbook programme. The handbook programme continues and several new ones are expected within the next 12 months or so;
- an up-to-date version of the FSS Handbook – all technical aspects of the FSS
- frequency agile systems [automatically controlled systems which evaluate circuit performance during operation and change the frequency, or other circuit parameters, to optimise performance. Provides adaptivity – process of automatically altering operating parameters and/or system configuration in response to changes in the time varying channel propagation conditions and external noise.]
- FWA - Update of existing Hndbk (1996) to take account of broadband wireless access and the requirement for universal access to Internet services.
- spectrum monitoring – revision of 1995 version to take account of services and technologies developed since then
