The system is depicted in this slide. Three circles represent the three classic services of b’casting, mobile and fixed whilst the shaded area (of indeterminate size and shape) is where terrestrial wireless interactive multimedia services may be seen to operate.
JTG has to understand the evolution of these systems, to determine the degree of convergence, and to review the associated regulatory methods and means of identifying spectrum to help harmonise the emergence of such services in the future.
