I wish to express my appreciation to the 2007 School on Wireless Networking for Scientific Applications in Developing Countries and its Directors for their support and encouragement. In particular, the financial support and the abundant knowledge i have aquired during these past three weeks!!!.

I also wish to acknowledge the assistance and participation of the my fellow group mates and other participants of the workshop.

[edit] The Workshop

My participation in this workshop has helped me alot especially in how to setup Wireless Networking as a lasting useful solution for my campus network and explore new developments in the field.

It has also enable me to be able to hold such training in my campus and offer advice to both students and fellow network administration staff in Kenyan universities through KENET(Kenya Education network).

During the workshop we had a chance to meet with great network gurus like Christian, Rob, Steve,Pietrosemoli, Struzak, Marcos and Carlos through whose lectures we learned alot of good tips and also new technologies.It pays to not only know what is new in the field but also how to specifically apply it in the most optimised way .

We now have a repository of new links and tools to apply and use in our daily work in the networking field.

Most of all Standards especially from Luther and other lectures. These have been made clear and new developments in the field made clear.

My main interest of study is wireless security. I got alot of pointers on this and hope to put it into practice and experimentation.

[edit] Venice ...Carnival

My trip to Italy did not go without fun. All the new technology was crowned by our trip to Venice. We went on a train trip for approximately 2 hours, met other hundrends of people going fot the carnivore.
