It was the last day of the School on Radio 2004. Many participants including me went to the Fermi building through ICTP shuttle service at 08:30 to get clearance as some participants would have to go tonight and many others will be leaving on Saturday and Sunday. We also send the activity notes via ICTP mail service free of cost up to the weight of 2kg, collected permit of stay in Italy as it should be submitted at airport before departure. Due to all this procedure some were late in joining the activity today morning.
Any way, the first lecture was by Dr. Emmanuel on wireless setup in Nigeria. He gave a very good presentation and a great idea to start the business in wireless technology.
Later on, after the coffee break Prof. Dr S.M. Redicella thanked to all the persons who had worked very hard to arrange this activity. He also presented a bouquet of flowers to MS. Mobilo for her efforts for the school. Then, Carlo asked one representative from every group to say few words about the experience during the whole activity. He also thanked to all the persons who have provided their valuable services to this school. Representatives from every group gave their comments about this activity. They all gave satisfactory comments and praised the efforts of the administrative team. Then Lara gave a beautiful chart bearing the signatures of all the participants to Prof. Redicella as a memory of the School on Radio 2004.
After this, Carlo asked Prof. Struzak, Prof. Pietrosemoli and Rob Flickenger the jury for the competition, for their comments about the results of the yesterday’s antenna competition & quiz and also to announce the results.
All of us were anxious to hear the result. Eventually, the result was announced. Group 2 got the first prize (Books from O’Reilly), Group 4 got 2nd prize (omni and Biquad antennas), Group 3 got 3rd prize (Software CD’s), and Group 1 and 5 got the consolation prizes of Cantenas.
At last the certificate distribution ceremony started and all the participants got their certificates. Every body seemed to be sad, as during this stay we all get close to each other and now at the time of leaving, we are feeling sad.

And now, I on behalf of all the participants thank all the persons involved for arranging this school and giving us (people from developing countries) an opportunity to learn about the new technologies and deploy this knowledge in their countries. Further more, I request that each of us (participants) should sincerely spread this knowledge in their country. So that, when again in future we may get together in this activity, all of us should bring fruitful results from their regions, so that the efforts of the ICTP may have fruit.
