Rules for the use of eJournals Delivery Service







The use of the eJournals Delivery Service is restricted to scientists in Developing Countries, subject to the particular conditions of each Publishing Company. There will be a selection of applications, which will be accepted by fax or letter, no e-mail application will be considered.

The list of journals which the eJDS provides are those for which the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics has a subscription. The list can be found in http://www.ictp.trieste.it/ejournals/eJDS-list.html
 

A system of quotas will be exercised: a maximum of 12 articles per week per journal, and 100 per year, subject to no more than three per day, to avoid bringing the system to a halt.
 
 

Conditions by Publisher:
 

Academic Press: Access to all electronic documents of Academic Press in IDEAL service, subject to the conditions in the IDEAL Charter for Low Income countries. The eligible countries are: Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo-Kinshasa, Congo-Brazzaville, Côte d'Ivoire, Equatorial-Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Honduras, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Lao PDR, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, mali, Mauritania, Moldova, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Säo Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Togo, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

American Physical Society: Institutions shall be cleared by the APS Associate Publisher before providing any access.  There are some US Treasury restrictions on shipping materials to a few countries and the APS has taken responsibility to consult with the proper authorities to assure compliance with all regulations.
 

World Scientific: Institutions shall be cleared by the World Scientific Publishing Co. before providing any access. Scientists from institutions in Developing countries (http://www.ictp.trieste.it/~pio/developing.pdf) can apply with the exceptions of those in: Argentina, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
