VISIT to the AQUARIUM of TRIESTE

 

 Thursday, 28th February 2002,

all School participants are invited to

VISIT THE TRIESTE CIVIC AQUARIUM,

nearby the Natural History Museum,

(opened in 1933 in the building of Central Fish Market,
it contains 25 tanks ranging in size from 200 to 2500 litres
and one central tank containing 17000 litres of sea water.
Collection includes: marine species of the Adriatic
and a small section of Tropical fish and turtles.
Three South African penguins also live in the Aquarium.
Moreover, since few years there is also possible to visit
a beautiful exibition of reptiles and amphibians, mostly local.)

We will meet THURSDAY at 14:00 in front of GGH
and will take the bus 36 at 14:10 (SHARP!)
to the city (please buy yout ticket in advance)

The visit to the Aquarium will start at 15:00
and it will be approx. 1 hour long.

The visit will be free and with english guide
provided specially for us by the museum responsible!
