Brief history of OSs evolution (3)

in 1991 Linus Torvalds (Finland) creates Linux, a free port of Unix for x386 PCs in '90 the OSs market offers many choices (some 10 different OSs exist just for Intel-based PC and there are many other hw platforms too), but it becomes dominated by Microsoft products in late '90 there are few choices remaining for PCs, apart of Windows 9x and NT nowadays Linux is the most promising OS for the enterprise/servers market (despite of Microsoft effort to impose NT), when Windows is predominating in the SOHO and home market ...in future, maybe... NOT :)
