VL Strategies: Computing literacy & Tools
To VLs be widely adopted in less developed regions for
carrying out distance collaboration, research experimentation or any other creative
activity, adequate computing literacy must be supported in the academic community
of countries that are new to the Internet.
VLs require also tools featuring the most advanced techniques of, e.g.,
- instrument control and data sharing,
- electronic collaboration,
whereas their administration need to be simplified.
