Campus of ICTP looks very beautiful in this weather. Today in first lecture was conducted by E.Canessa, the only one and creative programmer of ICTP. In his brief lecture on "VIRTUAL LABORATORY STRATEGIES FOR DATA SHARING, COMMUNICATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT" he focused on virtual laboratories(VL)which are projects that involve research collaboration carried out at a distance,the performance of remote(or distributed)computing and the sharing of data between groups of scientists,each of whom remains in their home institutions. He overviewed and defined the VL approach to promote research and education in developing countries, to help reducing the technology gap of the digital divide and discussed the software tools for datasharing and e-collaboration specially in the presence of low band width countries. He emphasized that The administration of virtual laboratories should be simplified so that they can be run by scientists for the scientists in their own countries for the great cuase of dissemination and management of knowledge which are essential for scientific enterprise and sustainable development! This was brain storming lecture by Canessa, if this would be implemented then it will open the horizons of knowledge in developing countries in the area of reaserch through distance learning. In the presence of Struzak and Carlo, second presentation was conducted by Prof.E.Pietrosemoli his main topic was to differenciate among VCR,FAX and other broadband wireless decives. The second part of the day was very special. We had a quick lunch break and got ready for the important event. Almost every one was ready and in time for this session. There was no hunting for participants by the Director Prof.Radicella and Prof. Struzak. Mr.Carlo Fonda was inaction as usual ( very Dynamic) . The session couldnot start until half past 14:00 hrs. As Prof Radicella was waiting for the Transpariencies to come and Mabilo was working on that. Yet there were few interaction going on we also had a official photographic session and individual's also took this opportunity to lock in to their camera's. We were back to leacture hall and now mabilo arrived. Prof. Radicella started his part of delebration in his very dignified way. (We learn these culture also, i.e. international way of interaction. there so much to learn and observe i can not even express) He was on stage with co-Director Prof. Ryszard Struzak and Prof.Ermanno Pietrosemoli . He presented the Extract of Data sheet we filled-in and the result showed considerably satisfactory results ( as stated by Prof. Radicilla) Open session was a part of the programm, Few participants expressed their questions , our friend form India Mr. Sunil Vyas also posed a question Cum request to Prof. Radicella to check possiblity of sending CD's of Software which is under development for UNESCO's other programme and that is regarding Virtual Labratory . Prof. Radicilla promised to see the best porriblity abd vertually confirmed to dispatch it to all the individuals with confirmation to Mr. Fonda. It was very good session and The certificates were distributed by all the faculties . We had a very good photegraphic session afterawards too, around 16:00 hrs it was over.
