                   DAILY DIARY REPORT
of School on Radio use for digital and
              multi-media communications

The PRACTICAL was introduced by Mr. CARLO FONDA, and PROF. E.
PIETROSEMOLI about the wireless systems to transfer data on the
scattered places of city. One end of the practical was performed in the
Galelio hostel to record the readings and performance of data. On other
hand, the next group was in the city to record readings and
interference, noise and video using wireless systems. In this practical
we have to measure the gain and loss in Dbi to record and transfer data
accurately to some distances. The introduction of the practical and
visit was briefed by the Mr. Carlo Fonda infront of Galelio hostel.
Every body was ready and prepared to do this practical and visit. That
was nice and enjoyable. After some times, Mr. Carlo introduced the
equipments; for instance, amplifier, antenna cable, feader, and antennas
etc. When he climbed over the pillar to set the direction of antenna to
record the readings accurately. After some time we get result on both
sides of the city. On the next end, the PROF. E. PIETROSEMOLI introduced
the same situation to the other group. In this practical, the gain, loss
and signal to noise ratio (SNR) were recorded. The maximum gain starts
to -65 to -78 Dbi to perform transfer data to the both ends of the city.
Ultimately we succeed to perform these practical using wireless systems
to transfer video as well audio systems for the digital radio. This is
so called digital use radio and multimedia communications. The vehicles
were arranged by the ICTP to take away the participants to the scattered
places of the city. Every body enjoyed and visited the round trip to
perform practical in real manner. It was done and watched by the
participants. While returning back to the ICTP each group taken lunch
and rest to have to attend the class in the lab of main building. PROF.
E. PIETROSEMOLI delivered this lecture about the theory of radio
antennas, spectrum analyzers. Spectrum Analyzer is an application that
shows the frequency content of the audio data currently recorded by the
sound input device you select. It makes use of real-time signal
processing algorithms to display the spectral data as the computer grabs
the sound. The spectrum analyzer is divided into two parts: (i) direct
sequence, (ii) Frequency hoping

Polarizing filters are used in photography. Polarization is also used in
digital watches and laptop screens. The polarization is divided into two
parts: a) Horizontal Polarization, b) Vertical Polarization
.Transmission of microwaves so that the electric lines of force are
horizontal, while the magnetic lines of force are vertical. The number
of the topics was taught by the PROF. E. PIETROSEMOLI in the field of
digital radio use in modern technology of computing. From the very
beginning of his lectures to the end of the lectures, he tried to
explain all the possible solutions of the radio use in this modern era.
He also made the use software in the field of digital radio use. At the
end of the lecture, PROF. E. PIETROSEMOLI told about the some URLs
(Uniform/Universal Resource Locators). These URLs are developed by
software developers to put into the internet world sever to have plenty
of information/ocean of information to get the users easily to locate
the favorite topics, pictures, software and games etc. For example, the
URLs are www.google.com, www.ictp.trieste.it, www.erda.com, and
www.techonline.com, etc.

At the next session, Mr. JAVIER TRIVINO get introduced the Radio Mobile
and also software's downloading and their usage and unzip files to
extract to the new location and run in the required software at required
time. He also explained other topics terrain profile, Gtopo 30, and GPS.
Radio Mobile is a tool to design and simulate the wireless systems. The
GPS is the acronym of the Global Positioning System. GPS is used to find
the coordinates of BS, MS or CPE. GPS is a hardware tool that is used to
measure distances, degrees in minutes and seconds, longitude and
latitude. He also made the use global world map to find the distance,
degrees, longitude and latitude using GPS Mr. JAVIER TRIVINO told the
site to download the software at the proper level and usage of the
software to know the position of the city or country. The name of the
site is www.cplus.org, which is useful for the GPS software. He also
covered many topics including Acquire Elevation Data, Radio Coverage and
introduced the Merida Wireless Networks using 11Mbps. These are Two
networks software completed and developed over three years by the
University of ULA Merida, at Venezuela. At last but not at least I would
like to acknowledge the efforts of Prof. Radicella who performed whole
the activity for this course smoothly and in a real manner. I would like
to indebted to Prof. Struzak who always remain with participants in the
lecture room and even in the laboratory work to have attention to the
participants to have class and patience to attend whole activity. All
the lectures were delivered on the schedule and time by the professors
of the different universities or organizations. This whole activity will
remain appreciable and understandable by all the participants of this
course. I really grateful to all of them who arranged and managed this
program for the third world countries to improve the modern technology
in the era of computing technology. I will also grateful to
International Center for Theoretical Physics who gave me a chance to
attend the course on " School on radio Use Of Digital and Multimedia
Communications".
