70 ITU-R Recommendations on propagation
Notes:
- Propagation plays an essential part in design and planning of a system, both for achieving the wanted signal quality and also – equally important – to see whether sharing is feasible with other systems.
- Most propagation effects are always dependent on location due to climate variability; (same would be true with ionospheric propagation)
- Propagation research and development is never completed – always new systems in the pipeline having new parameters and new geometries (i.e. types of propagation path) to consider.
- ITU-R studies in SG 3; currently 70 Recommendations in P series covering most areas of propagation.
