Short-RangeOutdoor Propagation
“Propagation data and prediction methods for the Planning of Short-range Outdoor Radiocom Systems and RLANs in the Frequency Range 300 MHz to 100 GHz”
Essentially site specific approach
- building geometry, antenna positions, etc.
Propagation models representative of environments frequently encountered
Notes:
- Rec. P.1411 – suitable for short paths (< 1km) where ground elevation has no effect. Emphasis on buildings since most applications are found in urban and suburban environments.
- Site specific – one needs to know something about the features on the path; not a statistical approach.
- Although an almost infinite variety of environment types, Rec confines itself to specific models which are considered representative of typical environments.
